Webdesk, TNI Kolkata, 13th January, 2016: Even as the nation keeps talking about the sensational Sheena Bora murder case, Macneill Engineering Pvt. Ltd. has undertaken a fictional adaptation “Dark Chocolate” directed by Agnidev Chatterjee. According to the maker of the film, the film has taken a fictional route to sketch the life and times of femme fatale Indrani Mukherjea without moralizing sermonizing or being didactic. The movie is to be seen as a work of art and fiction made to entertain and also narrate one of the darkest episodes of modern times. The lure for lucre is one of the poignant themes in the movie while the malice behind the beauty underlines the spine-chilling depiction. The film is shot in Hindi, English and Bengali like any urban setup. “This is one of the most shocking and diabolical crimes of our times. I have done a lot of research on the case and while I have tried to remain true to most of the case some parts have been fictionalized to keep the element of wonder alive in the movie till the very end,” said director Agnidev Chatterjee. Mahima Choudhury plays Ishani inspired by the character of Indrani Mukherjea, while Riya Sen plays Rina Bardhan inspired by Sheena Bora. Mumtaz Sorcar, Indrashis Roy, Kaushik Sen, Biswajit Chakraborty, Sudip Mukherjee, Shataf Figar, Rajesh Sharma, Rwik Basu among others play other important characters in the movie.
