INDIA INTERNATIONAL GUITAR FESTIVAL 2016 STARTS OFF IN KOLKATA

Webdesk, TNI Kolkata, 9th January, 2016: The India International Guitar Festival 2016 has started off on 6th Jan by private media organization at ICCR (Indian Council Of Cultural Relation) & G.D. Birla Sabhagar, Kolkata. This 2nd edition of IIGF constituted guitar competition along with talent hunt in Rabindrasangeet & rock on 7th & 8th of Jan from 11am to 9pm. The 4-day fete will be ending up tomorrow i.e. 10th with the seminars, master classes & prize distribution ceremony at G.D. Birla Sabhagar venue.  The Grammy Nominee from Kolkata Pandit Debashish Bhattacharya started this celebration of music last year dedicating to his guru Indian classical guitar pioneer pt. Brij Bhushan Kabra. This year the main intention was to promote the upcoming young slide guitarists by providing them the scholarship which migrated from the World War ll. The festival is hosting hundreds of guitarist from the outskirts of Kolkata and throughout the state led the audiences from Nadia, Krishnanagar, Bethua, Baruipur & many other districts to attend the celebration.”IIGF aims to bring world music everywhere irrespective of its area, region and genre” said Anandi Bhattacharya (organizer & daughter of Pt. Debashish Bhattacharya).
