FAMOUS RATH YATRA CELEBRATED AT BANKURA

Webdesk, TNI Bankura, 26th July, 2015: Like all other years this year too the Ratha Yatra festival was celebrated in Bankura with the great mood of festivity. Bankura is famous for its Rath Yatra festival especially for its two main Rath’s one is called Boro Roth which is established at Boro Rath Tala near Bankura Rail Station & other Roth named as Choto Roth which is established at Poddar Para near Machantala.

Devotees were seen pulling the rath rope, which is considered as one of the holiest activity during the festival. Apart from the religious activity, the brisk selling by the road vendors was also observed around the festival. The main rath yatra mela started from the day of the main rath and was being continued for the last 7 days.
