Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 5th December, 2017: The 5th version of North Bengal Conclave today was organized by CII North Bengal Zonal Council in Collaboration with the Government of West Bengal here in Siliguri at the venue of Hotel Sinclair’s. It was an industry meet, the industry experts and the main invitees of the program were the MIC NBDD Mr. Rabindranath Ghosh, MIC Department of Tourism, Mr. Gautam Deb, Principal secretary of NBDD Mr. Barun Ray, Chairman of CII North Bengal Zonal Council Mr. Rajiv Lochan and many industrialists & delegates from India and the neighboring countries like Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan. Like the previous years, there were many proposals that came from the participating industrialists. The ministers also tried to make visible urges to the industrialists for establishing industries in the almost industry-barren region of North Bengal. The main focal point of the conclave was the arrival of the Finance Minister of West Bengal Dr. Amit Mitra. However, due to some unavoidable circumstances, he had to shelve the tour. However, he has sent his message to the industrialist of the conclave for investing. Overall, it is to be seen whether the assurances from the industries are going to be materialized or those remain in the back benches like the previous years.
